Allowing my surroundings to inspire the creative process guides my choice of soft transparent watercolor, or the bold brush strokes of oils. As a child I found joy in all forms of creative play beginning with my first watercolor set given to me during a memorable visit with my older sister. It was at this early age I fell in love with the creative process that has blossomed into a passion over the years.
I am very fortunate to have my studio in my home where my surroundings are an enormous source of inspiration. My art studio is a renovated greenhouse used by a previous owner, an avid gardener who loved to cultivate camilla plants. Gardeners, like artist use their creative process to bring joy to others. I am honored to be able to blend both my love of flowers and sharing my creative journey in the same space he created close to 100 years ago.
